Position Highlights: 

• Openings in General GI, IBD, and Hepatology 
• Join UCI’s Comprehensive Digestive Health Institute 
• New $1.3 Billion Hospital/Campus Opening This Summer 
• Team of 21 GIs, 12 Fellows, and 2-3 Advanced Fellows 
• Typical Schedule: 
  • Up to 4 Half-Day Blocks of Clinic, 10-12 Patients/Block 
  • Up to 4 Half-Day Blocks of Endo Lab, 8 Procedures/Block 
  • Protected time for Teaching, Lectures, Research, and Clinical Trials 
• Call Schedule: Fellows Take First Call 
• General Call 1:10 (1 week at a time) 
• Hepatology doesn’t do General Call 
• Established Integrative Medicine Department 
• Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Incentives 
• Full UCI Benefits, Including Pension Plan 
• Board Certification Required, Academic Interests Highly Preferred 

Compensation: 

• Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Gastroenterology, MD ranging from $438,295 to $457,092, plus additional
• Quality & Productivity incentives/bonuses. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.
