ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Gatehouse/Weighbridge Operator is responsible for the day to day operation of the security area, including control of personnel entering site, operation of the weighbridge and duty of care paperwork for waste
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out searches and inspection of persons and vehicles in accordance with Company procedure, controlling, inspecting and sealing incoming and outgoing vehicles as required
• Issuing keys to authorised persons
• Checking the authorisation for removal of Company property
• Taking charge of all lost and found property in line with Company procedures
• Receiving all incoming telephone calls, obtaining all outside calls and operating the locator system between 5.30pm and 8.45am and at weekends
• Weighing and recording all incoming and outgoing vehicles, operating the barriers when necessary
• Ensuring sign in of all people entering the site and logging onto the computerised system
• Operating the fire alarm system, carrying out standing orders in case of emergency
• Replacing and issuing fobs and monitoring fob entry system as required
• Maintaining all gatehouse records, updating all record books daily

The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, with great communication skills and attention to detail.

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?
The shift pattern is four on / four off - 2 days 6am-6pm, 2 nights 6pm-6am followed by 4 days off.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK?
You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. If you've spotted our three wind turbines, then you'll know where we are! With about 350 employees on site, we're one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
