Gateway Specialist
Job Description
- Ensure all gateway activities are carried out in compliance with any company guidelines or governmental regulations regarding Maersk's status as a Container Freight Station (CFS) and Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF)
- Negotiate local Ad-Hoc pricing when required with air carriers and ground carriers to ensure max GP generation and optimal service levels
- Work with warehouse on timely breakdown of Import consols as well as export build to ensure maximum capacity utilization and GR generation.
- Supports excellence in air product performance in profitability, processes, efficiencies, quality and customer satisfaction for the Gateway.
- Coordinates air import and air export activities with all participating branches.
- Prepares and works on air freight consolidations.
- Monitors status of all shipments and ensures milestones are accurate.
- Maintains proactive communications with the airlines on shipment levels
- Reviews and monitors carrier performace/confirm on boards and maintains log.
- Assist in financials if needed with CASS billings
- Supports Manager and the department to achieve and exceed Corporate & Regional Goals.
- Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.
- Ensure follow up with airlines to ensure consolidations fly as booked.Perform other duties as assigned
