What you will do
The Global Strategic Account Support (GSAS) Manager, who will be part of the GCoE Leadership Team, will be responsible for the management, development, and operation of the GSAS Team. This team is made up of resources that supports JCI's global / strategic accounts across all JCI operating regions. This team includes Global and Regional Program Management, Global Application Engineers, Global Sales Support Team, Global Bid Management Teams, and the Global Service Management Team. They will drive the adoption and growth of the GCoE' s methodology and support across the Global Strategic Accounts for all domains and across all regions. Reporting directly to the GCoE Vice President, the selected candidate will align strategically and operationally with the CoE Network regional leaders as well as the Regional Sales Vice Presidents leading the different sales / account clusters. They will be charged with ensuring that the CoE Network GSAS team provides sound centralized pre and post-sales support specifically in the areas of engineering, design, technical support, and program management to the globally active strategic accounts. This team will continue to expand the established GCoE model for these accounts via centrally managed resources, leveraging the GCoE Network for engineering efficiencies and scalability and the regional / country teams for local market knowledge and delivery to these strategic accounts worldwide.
How you will do it
Ensures teams and processes are functioning effectively and efficiently in an operationally disciplined manner that is aligned to the GCoE methodology.
Plan, strategize, and influences priorities and decisions to improve customer satisfaction.
Consistently works on alignment with account strategies and needs to enable growth.
Continuously works with regional / in-country sales leaders to understand challenges, gaps and opportunities for better alignment and support to the customers in the areas of service and installs.
Manages team performance and bandwidth in order to provide the necessary support to global strategic accounts and opportunities.
Continuously monitors team development and training needs.
Works with the GCoE Sales Operations Director to ensure that we are maximizing the use of our tools and to look at new tools which would benefit the team and the accounts satisfaction.
Leverage the Sales Support GCoE Network in order to maximize efficiencies by identifying quick wins and support building a short- and long-term strategy.
Standardize and simplify the process between all pre/post sales application engineering resources throughout the JCI enterprise through the development and implementation of:
- Standard and simple flows between the sales teams and the GCoE Network
- Consistence's on systems (SFDC) and processes used by the GCoE Network
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or similar focus
- MBA is preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in sales, sales management and / or strategic account management with global reach
- Minimum 5+ years' experience managing teams in the areas of sales and operations driving a successful strategy and team supporting a large global business is preferred
- Strong understanding of pre & post sale engineering practices, process driven and able to drive consistency in complex global situations
- Strong understanding of program management and customer support models for a global account
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to operate successfully in a matrix organization. Candidate must be able to lead and drive results across the matrix.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and execution capability
- Multi-lingual skills desired but not necessary
