Qualification:

Bachelors in science , engineering or equivalent

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[130,000- 170,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Job summary

Should have architecturing experience in Big Data technologies and Cloud platforms like GCP.

Should have experience in migrating on-premises data warehouse system in Hadoop & Hive into GCP Bigquery

Should have knowledge in migrating pysprak application from onpremises into Google cloud

Experience in Loading and manipulating large data sets using GCP Hadoop Hive Pyspark

Should have strong knowledge on Google cloud composer dataproc Cloud SQL Google BigQuery Hadoop Hive Pyspark Python

Experience:12to16yrs

Required Skills: Google BigQuery, Apache Spark Hive BigQuery

Nice to have skills: Unix Shell Scripting, Hive, Python PySpark Cloud SQL Google BigQuery

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for the design delivery and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and solutions.

Assist with infrastructure migration strategies such as mass application/data transfers to the cloud.

Conduct full technical discovery identifying pain points business and technical requirements "as is" and "to be" scenarios.Compare solution alternatives across both technical and business parameters which support the defined cost and service requirements.

Work closely with IT security to monitor the companys cloud privacy.

Translating project-specific requirements into a cloud structure that meets those requirements as well as taking into account the project's resource use and scalability & secuirty requirements.

Possess strong knowledge & experience in Composer DataProc Cloud SQL BigQuery Dataflow Hadoop Hive Pyspark & Python

Prepare implementation plan as per the need and build the in scope applications in Big Data technologies .

Responsible for all technical deliveries of project & good understanding of Agile & DevOps methodology.
