General Ledger Accountant

This role:

As a General Ledger Accountant you’ll support our Order to Cash Process and collaborate with our sales teams to ensure all sales orders are properly billed and collections are received in a timely manner. You’ll be a strategic partner to sales to help build, scale, and enhance operational execution related to the Order to Cash Process.

What you’ll do as a General Ledger Accountant:

• Ensure timely performance of daily customer billing and application of cash receipts
• Assist in establishing and continuously monitoring customer credit limits and credit concentration
• Proper recording and application of cash receipts, management of outstanding customer invoices, recording of early payment discounts and other rebates
• Interact directly with customers and sales on collection matters and dispute resolution
• Monitor the A/R aging to assist in: collections efforts, periodic meetings with accounting for bad debt consideration, and engaging sales and enablement prior to customer notification of service suspension
• Assist with the monthly forecasting of cash collections
• Handle all Supplier Vendor Forms
• Create relationships with customers in payment portals such as Ariba, Coupa, Transcepta, etc. 
• Help develop automated processes to scale collections, such as integration of credit cards with our ERP system or implementation of cash application tools
• Provide support during the annual financial statement audit
• Assist in the reconciliation of sales tax recorded during the billing process

What you’ll bring to the General Ledger Accountant role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 2+ years of experience 
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently to manage workloads and resolve issues in a timely manner 
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
