General Ledger Accountant

BEHOLD! We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our team at our office in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Accountant is responsible for supporting the General Ledger team of Caesars Sportsbook in preparing accounting records and administering financial processes
What You Will Do:

• Work on a hybrid-remote schedule.
• Create journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create and maintain monthly detailed complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of sports betting systems and underlying calculations
• Communicate and maintain relationships with sportsbook partners.
• Interpreting reports/contracts and translating into accounting results.
• Problem solving and researching discrepancies.
• Prepare desktop check deposits.
• Prepare monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Assist Senior Accountants with monthly, quarterly and semi-annual revenue and profit shares.
• Preparation of accounting records as required, including detailed summaries of required accounting entries in support of internal or external needs.
• Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
• Support Senior Accountants and Accounting Managers with adhoc requests as required.
• Prepare to assist and support team members when required.
• Build team collaboration and work as a cohesive unit within the company.

What You Will Need:

• 1 - 3 years of accounting experience
• Degree in Accounting or related field
• Understands accounting and has experience working in an accounting function
• Experience with office work, preferably in a sports betting company
• Diligent with an eye for detail and accuracy
• STRONG Excel skills, macro knowledge a plus
• Working knowledge of Oracle accounting software a plus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to demonstrate initiative
• Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure and time constraints
• Ability to communicate well

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods
• Regular attendance in the office
