General Ledger Accounting Manager
Job Description
This GL Accounting Manager will lead our global month-end close processes and will work closely with Accounts Payable, FP&A, and international accounting teams on budget versus actual fluctuations, cost management, process improvement, and a wide array of other business initiatives. Reporting to the Controller, the GL Accounting Manager will serve as the “go-to” person for Cost of Sales, and Operating Expense analyses.
What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)- Overseeing the execution of the worldwide month-end close processes, including all month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintenance of global close calendar
- Prepare monthly consolidation and financial reporting under US GAAP
- Perform monthly fluctuation analysis by entity, by account, and by function
- Maintain global chart of accounts
- Oversee statutory audits and tax filings worldwide
- Analyze existing processes, including documentation of existing and future flows. Define and recommend a roadmap for process improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance to international accounting teams to ensure consistency in consolidated financial reporting and application of corporate policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams in company-wide system and process implementation projects
- BS in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of combined experience in both public accounting and industry
- CPA required
- Strong US GAAP accounting knowledge
- Excellent ability to analyze problems, think critically for solutions
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively, oversee multiple projects at once follow-through on commitments
- Ability to work productively in a dynamic environment and solutions-oriented
- Ability to build and develop strong teams
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with international teams strongly preferred
- Experience working in a high-growth company preferred
- This is a ‘roll-your-sleeves-up’ role
