Company Overview Quality Greens Kitchen ("QGK") is a startup with locations in Brooklyn and Hoboken. We aim to merge the worlds of fast-casual and fine dining, positioning us to compete with several of the country’s hottest fast-casual concepts. Position Overview We are seeking a General Manager (or Managing Chef) to run our Brooklyn store and position us for further expansion. Position may include select multi-unit responsibilities, involving coordination with our Hoboken store. This position offers a rare and unique opportunity to get in on the ground level of a successful new concept, poised for growth. As our #1 employee, advancement opportunities could be unlimited, as we aim to expand our reach and build one of the nation’s leading “fine-casual” restaurants. The role is ideally suited for an ambitious and seasoned General Manager/Managing Chef looking to substantially impact a young brand and help build this business into a larger company, for which he/she could share in the rewards. Responsibilities • Lead and manage both kitchen staff and front-of house (i.e. counter servers) to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production. • Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality in all dishes served. • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and minimizing waste. • Supervise catering production, ensuring all food is prepared and presented to perfection. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen while adhering to health and safety regulations. • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen and FOH staff • Maintain A-rating with the Department of Health. Skills • Experience as either (i) a fast-casual General Manager or (ii) a fine dining Executive Chef willing to work in a high end fast-casual environment • Food preparation • Inventory and cost control • Leadership and communication • Catering Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits: • Food provided • Paid time off Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities • Performance bonus License/Certification: • ServSafe (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Brooklyn, NY 11201: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
