Job Overview:
This General Manager of Services role plays a crucial role in our Services Division, responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive future growth and development. This position requires a strong combination of leadership and strategic planning skills along with an understanding of the veterinary industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive leadership of key components of the Services Division:
- P&L ownership: working with FP&A partnership to set and achieve budgeted financial objectives quarterly and annually.
- Inclusive of:
- Revenue generated through pet traffic and size of average transaction
- Variable costs including: Labor (staff and Veterinary), Product Costs, and Host Fees
- G&A management including: Marketing spend and HO overhead support (inclusive of shared services)
- Total EBITDA
- Lead effort to update forecast to results on quarterly basis to be included in earnings guidance
- Contributing to 1-3 year vision and financial targets for the division in coordination with Executive Leadership team
- Set strategic direction and lead, manage and hold the team accountable on delivering against that direction
- Leading teams that span across Field Operations, Medical, Operations, Marketing, Procurement, Real Estate and New Business Development
- Work closely with cross functional shared service areas to set strategic direction, inclusive of (Business Analytics, FP&A, Accounting, HR, Marketing Execution, Legal, IT)
- Managing key strategic relationships and contract negotiations, inclusive of:
- Major Retail Partners
- Veterinary industry partnerships
- Diagnostics
- Prescription Fulfillment and data insights
- Inventory fulfillment
- Manufacturing Partners
- People development and leadership
- Continue to enhance capabilities that enable future growth through new business development opportunities
- Develop marketing and campaign strategy
Minimal Qualifications:
- CPG sales experience, Major Retailer Merchandise Experience, Animal Wellness Experience is a plus
- Experience with total P&L responsibility and track record of delivering budgeted results
- Proven experience in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen with a focus on strategic planning and execution
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field; or years of relevant experience
