General Technician and Welder/Fabricator

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial mechanics and maintenance, with a focus on hydraulics and precision measuring instruments. This role requires someone who can analyze complex issues, maintain equipment, and provide exceptional customer service. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Technician and Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for safely and effectively repairing, maintaining, fabricating, and installing commercial carports, stair treads, wrought iron welded fencing and gates, and other work as assigned and within required quality standards. Responsibilities: • Completes all required monthly safety and skills training as assigned. • Assesses and mitigates potential fire/life/safety issues throughout work area(s) before work commencement. • Works safely and promptly and informs management about unsafe conditions. • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area, and returns tools to their designated storage areas, etc. • Inspects and maintains all tools, including powered hand tools, welders, etc. for proper functionality and safe working conditions. • Safely utilize all tools, including powered hand tools, welders, etc. as designed. • Safety completes assigned work/work orders within required quality standards. • Properly and effectively completes all paperwork and submit to leadership on time. • Ensures clear and effective communication and a safe and effective working environment. • Effectively utilizes precision measuring and testing instruments while adhering to engineered drawings/specifications, dimensional requirements, manufacturer’s instructions, etc. • Effectively interprets sketches, blueprints, and verbal instructions. • Anticipates and requests needed equipment, material, and supplies as required to safely and effectively complete work in the allotted time. • Maintains an excellent attendance record according to Company policies. • Completes and sustains all required job certifications. • Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications • Proven experience as a general technician and/or welder/fabricator or in a similar role. • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their application in maintenance tasks. • Ability to analyze mechanical issues and develop practical solutions. • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
