Primary Responsibilities
HDR currently is looking for a Georgia Highways Market Sector Leader having a known reputation with GDOT and statewide municipalities and counties. This role would support business development and project delivery for the Highways & Roads Market Sector in the state of Georgia.
The specific responsibilities of this position are divided into two parts;
The Georgia Highway Market Sector Lead will facilitate the development and implementation of business strategies across GA in coordination with Business Group leadership, operational leadership, client managers and business class directors. Responsible to the GA Transportation Business Group Manager, the H&R Market Sector Lead creates and monitors frequent and regular communication to implement the strategic and operating plans for the market sector consistent with the overall Transportation Business Group strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Promote the marketing and delivery of all HDR services to clients within Georgia working with our client managers and project managers.
2. Work with the Area Business Group Manager on development and delivery of market sector initiatives.
3. Work with the area client development leaders to drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques.
4. Support selected Georgia area pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy and participation in pursuit activities.
5. Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
6. Monitor marketing capabilities and provide H&R MS support to help the GA Area achieve goals.
7. Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations.
8. Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations.
9. Lead and/or assist with the identification and recruitment of prospective future market sector employees.
10. Monitor market sector performance indicators NFE/NFB/profits/positive equity/AR/losses/investments.
The Georgia Highways Market Sector Leader role will be responsible for the following:
- Integration into a local business development plan and implementation of contact strategies for GDOT and statewide Agencies
- Pursue work locally and nationally (local projects might include larger more complex projects
- Support local staff with mentorship, training, and quality reviews on Area projects
- Integrate into local project work
- Integration of Market Sector initiatives and strategies

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 15 years experience in transportation planning and/or engineering with a majority of that experience within the market sector.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related field.
- If an engineer, maintain engineering registration.
- Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
- Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
- Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth.
- Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector.
- Ability to work cooperatively with Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Director, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers and Area Managers.

Typical starting pay range for this position:
• Colorado will be $115,990.00 - $182,270.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
