Primary Responsibilities

• Performing subsurface investigations and evaluations for developing geotechnical design recommendations
• Assisting in the preparation of design plans and specifications for construction
• Developing subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs
• Performing shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability analyses, and subgrade evaluations
• Assisting in design and development of soil and rock-cut slope designs
• Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other reporting documents

Required Qualifications

• BSCE (Geotechnical Engineering) or a closely related field; master's preferred
• PE or ability to obtain for natural career progression; candidates hired without their PE will have the title "Geotechnical EIT"
• Ability to perform drilling inspection for PennDOT, PTC, WVDOH, and other governmental and private projects.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

• PennDOT design experience
• PennDOT Test Boring Inspection certification or short-term ability to take test
• Minimum 2 years of geotechnical design experience
• Experience with MS Office, gINT, STABL/Slide, LPILE, Slope/W, GRLWEAP, and DesignBuild
• Preference given to local candidates
