Job Description

Job Description The Client List Screening (CLS) Unit performs screening support for Corporate Compliance. CLS is responsible for regulatory/non regulatory internally directed Enterprise-wide searches of our accountholders, their related parties, and transactions, looking for known or suspected money launderers, terrorists, PEPs, Persons of Interests, Negative Media, or Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs). The GFCC Screening Officer will be responsible for evaluating alerts per Company and Government policies. The GFCC Screening Officer will utilize internal KYC systems, public information, and Line of Business (LOB) provided information to identify matches or false positive results. The GFCC Screening Officer will be based in Newark, Delaware.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, investigating, and providing decisions on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions and Negative Media profiles.
- Clearly documenting rationale for decision, and providing supporting documentation
- Regularly exercising good judgement and decision making, meeting high-throughput requirements all the while maintaining a rigid quality standard.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
- Remaining up to date on Sanctions, and KYC policy standards and procedures
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years' experience in Client or Transaction screening Operations or KYC related experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial sanctions and AML/KYC Compliance
- Highly professional self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership over "quality" and end-to-end best practices
- Results-oriented team player
- Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines, and goals, in a high-pressure environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Adherence to controls and standards
- Bachelors or MBA degree preferred
