GI Hospitalist and/or Outpatient Opportunity in TN

A well-known academic medical center in Eastern Tennessee is excited to welcome a BC/BE gastroenterologist to its inpatient gastroenterology program. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERCP, EUS is optional.

This Inpatient Academic Gastroenterologist position involves a mix of clinical, educational, and administrative responsibilities. Additionally, an opportunity for a Division Chief is available for those candidates with at least three years of experience.

GI Hospitalist Position Highlights:
• 7 on/7 off schedule
• Physician will be on-call during their 7-day block. The call is non-burdensome, and the hospital is currently investigating telehealth as the first call to alleviate the call burden even more.
• ERCP is required and EUS is optional, though an advanced fellowship is not required.
• ED physicians doing the admitting.
• The average daily census is 6-12 patients.
• On average, the physician could expect to do 1-2 procedures per day
• J1 and H1B visas can be accommodated.
• Competitive compensation ~$700k (plus no state income tax in TN!)
• $60k sign-on bonus and $15k relocation
• A fellowship stipend is available for those still in training
