Job Description

Overview

The GIS Architect will lead the design, build and maintenance of data & digital services for legacy of the Core Geospatial Solution with at least 15 years of experience.

As a Cyient GIS Architect, you will be part of our delivery team responsible for the implementation of GIS solutions over the Esri, G/E Platform. You will play a lead role in executing the design, build and maintenance of technical integration for digital services and legacy of our customers Geospatial systems. You will lead and facilitate design workshops and customer meetings, create software configuration specifications, mentor Cyient team members, and ensure the implementation aligns with overall customer requirements. As a lead technical resource, you will proactively advocate for the customer to ensure their needs are met with the Cyient proposed solution and the value is recognized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include:

· Ensuring that GIS solutions can be delivered, deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner through interaction and collaboration with DevOps and environment specialists.

· Providing key design and team leadership alongside deep SME expertise as needed, in all areas of integration in the solution.

· Expertise in working with utilities solutions for Electric, Gas and Water.

· Working within an agile delivery methodology by taking a leading role as part of a wider team.

· Lead kick-off meetings and Facilitate user requirements and design workshops

· Work with end-users to capture and track software enhancement requests.

· Support the creation of customer success stories and presentations about the value delivered to the customer.

· Lead team of engineers to convert architecture and design into PoC (Proof of Concept)

· Leading, managing and mentoring as needed other integration specialists to produce required designs, implementations and solution outcomes

· Working with other technical and business stakeholder teams to ensure high quality outcomes in the areas of technical fit, resilience, security, compliance and efficiency across relevant solution, data and integration environments.

· Having involved in RFP submissions for GIS proposals includes UN migration.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Key experiences:

· Esri Certified System Design and Enterprise Professional.

· Analysis Expertise - Experience of analysis of a wide range of specific integration requirements and rapid production of suitable technical designs and specifications.

· Architecture Expertise - Extensive experience of defining and designing solution architectures which support multiple vendor and other workstreams across a range of target platforms, with particular emphasis on consumption of web services and data integration Solutions need to be architected in a manner, which allows the initiation, flow, processing and management of data flows in a secure and reliable manner. Solutions need to be flexible and extensible, so customers need to be able to visualize “as is” and “to be” requirements.

· Hands on experience in ArcGIS programming is a mandatory

· Deep technical understanding of the ESRI ArcGIS Platform including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Kubernetes.

· Expertise on customization of automation tools on desktop, ArcGIS Web solutions (ArcGIS Web App Builder, ArcGIS Experience Builder)

· Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities

· Experience using major types of imagery and creating GIS datasets

· Expertise in carrying out client interactions, feasibility study, business and technical requirements with client and project stakeholders

· Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

· Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally and demonstrated mobility

· Demonstrable service industry knowledge - ideally with focus on GeoSpatial service industry

· Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills
