Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a creative, motivated and highly talented GIS Coordinator/Developer for immediate employment. This position offers hybrid work options, with the potential to work 100% remotely. This position will provide technical GIS support and coordination on a wide range of enterprise GIS projects and programs across the region.

Water
With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM's Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today's municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services-from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance-to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. AECOM is seeking a creative, motivated and highly talented GIS Coordinator/Developer for immediate employment. This position offers hybrid work options, with the potential to work 100% remotely. This position will provide technical GIS support and coordination on a wide range of enterprise GIS projects and programs across the region.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Support and serve as technical lead on large-scale enterprise GIS programs
- Create, manage, validate and maintain various types of GIS data, databases and services
- Develop, deploy and manage web-based geospatial content, applications and systems
- Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate GIS tasks and assignments
- Provide consultation for geospatial strategic planning and resolution of issues, technical assistance and training
- Plan and administer installations, upgrades and enhancements of GIS hardware, software, and procedures
- Develop tools, scripts and workflows to automate and streamline mapping, data management and geoprocessing tasks
- Perform QA/QC review of GIS data and compile metadata
- Works under very minimal direction
- Acts as senior GIS specialists who works on conventional practice but may handle complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional tools and difficult coordinations.
- Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed work.
- Independently responds to technical / administrative instructions on results expected.
- Devises new approaches to problems and coordinates technical aspects of work.
- Meets with clients to discuss topics, such as technical specifications, customized solutions and operational problems.
- Participates in new business development efforts.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS or related field
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing GIS and data/database management projects or tasks
- Demonstrated working knowledge of enterprise GIS systems
- Proficiency with the Esri ArcGIS platform and Portal for ArcGIS
- Proficiency with Python and R programming languages
- Experience in spatial and non-spatial database design, management and administration
- Strong data quality assurance, validation and documentation knowledge
- Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification
- Experience working with Cityworks asset management software
- Experience with the Esri Utility Network solution
- Experience in supporting large-scale water/wastewater utility GIS and asset management programs
- Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, Visual Basic, C# and/or LaTex
