GIS Developer

Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments, and the private sector. We are searching for a GIS Developer. This is a large-scale IT software development effort implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). We are looking for a GIS developer. The candidate will develop web based GIS applications with ArcGIS JavaScript API.

Responsibilities:

• Work efficiently as a GIS developer in an agile environment with a delivery expectation of new features.
• Work extensively with Esri's suite of applications and tools to develop web-based products.
• Designs develop, enhances, debugs, and implements interactive and batch software.
• Researches, tests, builds and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Consults with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Effective communications, verbal and written, with the customers, managers, and others is required.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in related field of study.
• 3+ years of experience of web GIS application development using ArcGIS Javascript API.
• React experience is a plus.
• Experience of ArcGIS services is a plus
• Experience of Geoprocessing service development is a plus
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to learn.
• Good team player.

• In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the US for the past three (3) years.

Other Information:

• The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $105,000 annually.
