Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, independent, and self-motivated GIS Specialist. We are looking for professionals with experience in the design, implementation, and management of enterprise geospatial solutions using the esri product suite. The position will be on-site at MCB Camp Lejeune and will provide direct support to a variety of functional areas.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design geospatial solutions using a variety of esri products, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and Portal for ArcGIS.
  • Perform technical reviews to validate data are compliant with the Marine Corps implementation of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment vector data model.
  • Develop Portal for ArcGIS web-based geospatial content/apps/systems to support data-driven decision making.
  • Maintain a digital GIS Program Binder detailing the processes and actions involved in completing assigned duties.
  • Organize, document, and communicate status updates to client and internal project leads.
  • Analyze, plan, develop and communicate requirements and standards to key stakeholders and the project team.
  • Meets with subject matter experts to discuss topics, such as technical specifications, customized solutions, and operational problems.
  • Provide comprehensive geospatial services in a fast-passed, professional environment with a high-level of visibility to senior leadership.
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision.
  • Independently executes and delivers GIS projects of moderate to significant scope and complexity.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, planning, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with emphasis in geographic information systems (GIS)
  • 4 + years of relevant project experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • US Citizen based on need to obtaining a secret clearance
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and managing enterprise geodatabases.
  • Experience working with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).
  • Must have the ability to work independently and with a team of professionals.
  • Excellent time management skills.
