GitHub / Azure DevOps SME

The GitHub and Azure DevOps Subject Matter Expert will work with the Federal client to solicit, analyze, and document client needs and use cases to make best practice recommendations for migration over to GitHub and Azure DevOps. This person will have a deep understanding of version control systems, particularly in GitHub, as well as experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.  Duties and responsibilities include:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to GitHub.
• Assists the Microsoft Team with POC and demos to business stakeholders.
• Train and mentor team members on effective GitHub usage.
• Leads the discovery with business stakeholders to identify requirements and use cases
• Develops and performs appropriate analyses of alternatives and provides explanations of analysis methods, and assumptions made, and assists in interpretation of results and implications therein.
• Works with Project Manager to create ROM and Roadmap for migration over to platform alternatives.
• Identify and analyze trends in a variety of data sources to develop improvements for processes, forecasting and planning.

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of experience working with GitHub.
• SME level knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration.
• Experience architecting or administering Azure DevOps environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with security best practices in version control.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to train and mentor team members.
• MUST BE A US CITIZEN

• Active federal government public trust clearance
• Microsoft certifications
