Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering and computational biology.

This role will report to the Senior Accountant and assist in the day-to-day operations of cash, expenses, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting when applicable.

A day in the life:

• Prepare journal entries including but not limited to cash, expenses, accounts payable

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process 

• Payment processing and cash collections

• Reconciliation of AP and associated clearing accounts

• Ad-hoc reporting as requested

• Setting up new employees in expense reimbursement system and monitoring internal expense email account 

• Creating and maintaining vendor profiles and accounting data

You will thrive in this role if:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Knowledge of accounting including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• The ideal candidate has 1-5 years of accounting, finance, or equivalent experience

• Self-starter with motivation to drive improvements

• Must be able to communicate effectively with a widely dispersed team

• Keen attention to detail and is comfortable with accounting software, spreadsheets, and other accounting and financial processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, etc. 

• This role is a hybrid, 3 days in office 2 days remote 

• Experience working with Sage Intacct, Expensify, Floqast, and Coupa is a bonus

Compensation Range: 

Salary Range: Starting at $60K to $80K. Stock options are included in all offers. Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
