The Role

The GL Accountant will be a key member of the EMEA finance team reporting to the EMEA Accounting Manager. The rapidly expanding global Finance organization based in Budapest, Hungary supports the accounting, payroll, and other related daily processes of more than 1,400

employees across 22 countries in Europe.

The GL Accountant will be involved in all aspects of the regular accounting activities, will participate in projects, and will be expected to leverage their experience to drive innovation within the group.

What You’ll Do

• Participate actively in the monthly and quarterly close processes for multiple countries.
• Be involved in day-to-day global operational activities through handling all accounting areas for specific countries.
• Ensure compliance with SOX policies.
• Cooperate with external accounting, payroll service providers and auditors in several countries.
• Participate in projects assigned to the role.
• Be involved in the training and education of junior team members.

Requirements

• Recognized accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• +3 years post-qualification experience in both AP and GL-related areas
• US GAAP, FRS 102 experience essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented yet able to reflect on and understand the big picture
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly

Nice to Have

• Experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline and/or Concur is an advantage
• Experience working in a publicly-traded, high-tech, high-growth company preferred
