Definition:
We are seeking a skilled glass specialist to join our team. In this role, you will recommend and design glass solutions for various opportunities in the commercial construction industry. You will collaborate closely with material consultants and customers to understand their specific requirements and provide guidance on the most suitable glass solutions. Your knowledge and experience of glass materials and manufacturing will be key in this customer-facing role and is critical for instilling confidence in our customers, setting proper expectations and helping close the business for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Glass applications and consultation:
- Work closely with material consultants and customers to understand their project requirements, objectives, and constraints related to glass applications.
- Provide recommendations on the best glass materials and configurations to meet the project's functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
- Develop glass solutions based on customer specifications and industry standards and to showcase the potential of the recommended glass solutions.
- Material selection and engagement
- Develop a comprehensive glass knowledge base for 3form's material consultants and the client services team to help build expertise in glass and to help drive future sales
- Evaluate the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of glass materials to ensure they meet project requirements and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, product development and quality control, to support custom glass projects and opportunities.
- Deliver clear and compelling technical presentations to sales teams, customers, and stakeholders to explain the benefits and features of recommended glass applications.
- Industry Trends and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to glass applications.
- Continuously explore opportunities for product improvement and innovation
- Glass applications and consultation:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the glass manufacturing environment and glass sales
- Experience in designing and recommending glass applications for commercial use
- Strong knowledge of various glass types, properties, and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science or related field preferred
