Glaucoma Physician
Job Description
Practice: Atlanta Ophthalmology Associates
- Patient Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with glaucoma, both medically and surgically. Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Surgical Expertise: Perform advanced glaucoma surgeries, including trabeculectomy, tube shunt procedures, MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery), and other related surgeries.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the ophthalmology team, primary care physicians, and optometrists for coordinated patient management.
- Patient Education: Provide education and counseling to patients regarding glaucoma management, treatment options, and preventative measures.
- Clinical Leadership: Participate in the development and execution of glaucoma care protocols and clinical guidelines at Northside Hospital.
- Outreach: Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness of glaucoma and other ophthalmic diseases.
- Graduate from Accredited Ophthalmology Residency
- Glaucoma Fellowship preferred, but not required
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Georgia License or the ability to obtain one
