WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • A high degree of autonomy in providing essential supply-base control services to our internal Digital and Marketing business functions
  • Develop and lead global indirect sourcing strategies across nVent for Digital and Marketing categories.
  • Collaborate with key functional leadership to develop critical business initiatives intended to improve spend leverage and cost efficiency, improve service levels, and develop a world-class supply base.
  • Build relationships with key partners (Executive Leadership and VP's) to coordinate and collaborate divining key sourcing initiatives and leading supplier relationships
  • Develop a standard methodology approach to manage key categories, including: define regional and global supply landscape, drive category knowledge management and information sharing, understand key cost drivers and develop mitigating strategies, and lead strategic supplier relationships and performance.
  • Drive sustainable year over year cost, cash flow and service level improvements
  • Negotiate and lead major contract negotiations as well as monitor contract compliance and optimize contractual obligations
  • Complete Delegation of Authority (DoA) approvals for contracts and ensure accurate cross-functional review is incorporated into each contract
  • Complete supplier record administration tasks including adds, changes, compliance screening in accordance with accounts payable policies


YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain
  • 3+ years of supply management, preferably with a focus on indirect spend or a strong background in leading IT applications and services
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and software licensing preferred
  • Skills in; Rollout and management of global programs and services. Knowledge of relevant category markets and key cost drivers. Analytical and financial competence. Technical knowledge of sourcing and spend management tools
  • Abilities to travel domestically and internationally to nVent facilities and suppliers as the need arises
