Job Description Summary

In this role, you will work as a Global Commodity Leader under the Grid Solution Business. As a leader you will responsible to analyze market trends and economic conditions to provide strategic insights for global commodity investments and purchasing. Additionally you need to evaluate risks, develop forecasts, and optimize strategies to ensure cost efficiency. The Leader will manage data analysis techniques and collaborate with other functions to align commodity strategies with business goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of global commodity markets, including supply, demand, pricing trends, and economic indicators.
  • Monitor geopolitical events, weather patterns, and regulatory changes that could impact commodity prices.
  • Develop comprehensive market reports and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and assess potential risks in commodity trading and procurement.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate exposure to market volatility and fluctuations.
  • Provide recommendations for firming and other financial instruments to manage risk.
  • Collaborate with procurement and trading teams to develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Optimize commodity sourcing and purchasing decisions to maximize cost savings and minimize risk.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improving commodity supply chain efficiency and profitability.
  • Work closely with Engineering, commercial, and operations teams to align commodity strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provide expert guidance and insights on market developments to support decision-making across departments.
  • Communicate complex market information in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 7-8 years' experience in sourcing and Supply Chain
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Proficiency in English & Arabic
  • Knowledge of sourcing/supply chain, experience in electrical equipment sourcing
  • Strategic thinking and cost analysis
  • Strong negotiation, organizing skills and time management capability
  • Experience in dynamic high-volume projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Desired Characteristics :

  • Strong people management and coaching skills
