Job Description

The Global Communications Manager is responsible for building external communications programs that measurably drive brand awareness and contribute to demand generation. Through design and execution of an integrated communications strategy, the Global Communications Manager deploys Logility's company messaging into high impact storytelling across owned communications channels. This communications leader brings a modern approach to communications - staying on top of trends that impact the comms landscape - and then developing programs that enable Logility to capitalize on those trends. Program ownership spans corporate communications, public and media relations, executive communications, and social media.

Responsibilities

The Global Communications Manager will be responsible for delivering and executing an integrated, external, and global communications strategy that provides thought leadership to our focus markets and positions Logility's value proposition with target audiences. They will need to embed Logility's value proposition and differentiators into a high-impact storytelling framework and recommend & develop a content strategy for external communications channels (including press releases, social, blogs, and thought leadership platforms).

This individual will develop & deploy an organic, global social media communications & content strategy which encompasses 'branded' or company handles and advocates. They will also be responsible for creating content for branded social media channels that are deployed in a consistent, regular cadence and attracts new followers to the Logility streams.

The Global Communications Manager will onboard & train a diverse bench of company spokespeople which spans the executive team and company subject experts along with proactively building and managing relationships with identified industry influencers, including journalists, social influencers, academics, etc. They will manage inquiries, schedule briefings, and coordinate interviews with the influencer community. They will be responsible for coordinating the development and distribution of press releases and other news and report on the effectiveness of communications across channels and recommend ways to continuously improve the impact of messaging channels.

Requirements

  • Preferred location: U.S. Eastern or Central Time Zones
  • Can clearly articulate how the media relations and social media communications landscapes have changed in the last several years - and importantly, the attributes of modern communications programs that take advantage of latest changes and trends
  • Can provide writing samples or other examples that demonstrate an ability to write concise, focused prose that eliminates industry jargon wherever possible
  • Passion for developing an externally facing corporate narrative via storytelling
  • At least 5 years supporting external communications for an enterprise applications or B2B company, or via a marketing, public relations, or communications agency.
  • Supply chain or ERP software industry experience a plus.
