The Team

Role overview

As the first hire for our Compensation team, you’ll build the infrastructure for our compensation philosophy. You will ensure we have the right job leveling, external benchmarks and internal understanding to maintain competitive and fair compensation practices. You will advise and resolve a variety of compensation needs through partnering with HRBPs and business leaders.  In this role you’ll report into our Head of People (Joe Schiro) and be part of our HR leadership team. 

How you’ll make an impact

By 3 months:

  • You’ll understand our business and have established relationships across our senior leadership.
  • You’ll monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are consistent with compensation trends and company objectives.
  • You’ll track the competitiveness of compensation through job evaluations, benchmarking, participation in market data surveys, and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors.
  • You'll contribute to developing comprehensive communications and training materials to ensure our compensation programs are well understood and valued by managers and employees.

By 6 months:

  • You’ll lead multiple compensation programs, including the annual compensation planning cycle, equity grants, and promotion cycles.
  • You’ll contribute to the evolution of the compensation program by partnering with the People Team, Finance, and business leaders across the organization.
  • You’ll drive operational excellence through growing our HR tech stack, establishing policies and process.
  • You'll plan and execute equity compensation strategy.
  • You'll design compensation bands and structure, supporting executive comp and team or org specific bonuses.
  • You’ll identify areas of improvement in our systems and processes. 
What you’ve already accomplished
  • You’ve developed and delivered strong, structured, and scalable compensation programs and policies that align with the overall company goals. You’ve partnered with HRBPs to determine career ladders
  • You’ve refined compensation bands and bonus structures.
  • You've benchmarked positions and participated in compensation surveys.
  • You’ve championed internal equity by leveraging data and trends
  • You’re well versed on equity and have equipped hiring teams with resources to help close offers
