Global Complaint Operations Intern (Remote)
Job Description
Role Overview:
This role will support the Smith+Nephew Global Quality Organization, specifically the post market Complaint Management function. The Complaint Management function is responsible for evaluating post market product complaints with the objective to identify root causes and accompanying actions the company can take to improve our products and increase patient safety. This role provides support by analyzing complaint and product related data, providing editorial feedback on written processes and projects, and completing administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with managers to complete specifically identified Intern projects.
- Present project conclusion to senior leadership.
- Support project to analyze product data to identify potential improvements to make Complaint Management tasks more efficient.
- As directed by management, assess written processes, projects, and other documentation for improvements.
- Build knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards for global markets, and learn how to interpret regulations and agency guidelines.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Education:
- Must be currently matriculated at an accredited university as an undergraduate .
- Must be in excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 preferred.
- Majors in biology, health sciences, engineering, or other science-related disciplines, or liberal arts with a focus on written communication skills.

Experience:
- Previous applicable intern, part-time or apprenticeship experience is preferred
Competencies:
- Demonstrated leadership experience with effective project management experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills including technical writing, listening and speaking; ability to influence others.
- High learning agility with the ability to analyze and synthesize data and then present it to senior leaders.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive project completion.
- Independent thinking and the ability to work within a team is required.
- Ability to assess technical issues and develop solutions utilizing an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Requires the ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple tasks, assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth; time management and organization skills are a must.
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $21 to $23 per hour and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Smith & Nephew follows the Pay Transparency and non-discrimination provisions described by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE).
