About The Creator Partnerships Team:
As leaders in the creator economy, our team uses innovative tools to identify and advance creators. With a focus on post-campaign education and fair compensation, we act as a bridge between creators and Whalar, guiding them through the process. About The Role:
As a Manager on the Creator Partnerships team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the work of Creator Partnerships Executives. This includes ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work, providing guidance and feedback, and acting as a key liaison between Executives, Associate Directors, and the Chief Creator Officer.
Your responsibilities will also extend to the career progression of your team. You will oversee and be accountable for performance reviews, including mid-year and end-of-year evaluations, ensuring that feedback is constructive, fair, and supportive of their career development within Whalar.
Your responsibilities will require a highly detail-oriented approach, an auditor's eye for quality, and a deep understanding of clients' needs across various industry verticals. You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of the creator economy, and the ability to identify top talent that aligns with campaign goals.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
*As with any start-up business, roles and responsibilities will evolve but here's a rundown of expectations as they stand today.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality work by supervising the Creator Partnerships Executives, reviewing, and approving all creator selections and vetting procedures before Associate Directors' final review.
- Talent Identification: Leverage your comprehensive knowledge of the creator economy to aid in identifying and onboarding the industry's top talent alongside your team.
- Copy Review: Ensure the precision, pertinence, and captivation of the creator bios and pitch decks by reviewing and approving the copy crafted by the Executives.
- Contract Negotiation and Creator Education: Participate in contract negotiations while maintaining fairness and support, alongside educating creators to align with campaign objectives and expectations.
- Relationship Management: Foster and uphold robust relationships with talent management and in-house teams to ensure smooth and successful campaign operations.
- Team Mentorship: Offer continual mentorship and guidance to Executives, nurturing their skills and promoting a culture of perpetual learning, resilience, and adaptability within the team.
- First Point of Escalation: Serve as the initial contact for addressing any challenges or issues within the team or related to campaigns, utilizing problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong Point of View: Nurture a powerful standpoint in every work aspect, infusing innovation and fresh concepts while demonstrating resilience during challenging times.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of the creator economy and social media platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an auditor's eye for quality.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract terms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
