Global Demand Planning Lead

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Global Demand Planning Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring that our products meet customer demands efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop product forecasts that will drive production planning / inventory to meet our customer needs and lead the demand planning team activities.  Key to this will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service and Operations.

This role reports to the Director of Global Materials and is based in Plano, Texas.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for rolling 18-24 months unconstrained demand forecasts for all products
• Facilitate regular demand review meetings between Sales and Product Management
• Develop revenue projections and identify/communicate gaps and changes to plan
• Responsible for developing and maintaining new product introduction forecasts and adjusting product life cycle forecasts
• Develop and improve forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
• Lead forecast review meetings with senior leadership
• Guide and lead demand team members in planning, coordinating, and executing forecasting activities. Train new demand team members.
• Review and improve forecast accuracy both at the aggregate product line and individual product levels by identifying key root causes for forecast errors while implementing initiatives to improve future forecast accuracy and measuring results
• Continuously enhance demand planning processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization
• Ensure the activities follow and comply with Power Conversion’s company core values, health, safety, environmental and sustainability policies
• Available to collaborate with local and global teams and management including night and early morning meetings as necessary.
• Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.
• Less than 10% travel annually expected for this role

 Required/Desired Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain planning roles
• At least 5 years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• The capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience and knowledge with data visualization tools (such as Power BI)

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Knowledge of forecast impacts within MRP functions and forecasting consumption, along with the impact on factory scheduling and purchasing
• Proven experience in Demand Planning or similar forecasting and planning role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Expertise with SFDC (Sale Force Dot Com) and SAP desired
• Experience in ERP systems with knowledge in inventory management, Demand and Production Planning, Material Master i.e., SAP.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, supply chain processes, and production planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill in English
• Demonstrated experience as a leader in a global setting, with cross functional teams and operations across multiple international locations.
• Supply chain certifications such as APICS, IBF, or Six Sigma preferred
• People management or leading a team experience desired
• Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP or ISM CPSM desirable
