Global Director of Product Marketing

Job Summary:
Global Product Marketing leads the Belkin product portfolio marketing strategy within the global marketing organization. Our cross-functional remit is to set the global product marketing strategic positioning and marketing value proposition and go-to-market launch marketing plans for New Product Introductions (NPI) and device-attach updates across our key category business units - Mobile Power, Device Protection, Connectivity, Audio, Smart Home, and growth categories to achieve our business goals with our channel customers and end-consumers. This marketing leader will partner cross-functionally with product management and regional marketing and sales teams to drive sell-through and market share growth.
Your role: Director, Global Product Marketing will build, lead and coach a team of global product marketers by business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, manage, and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for new and existing product initiatives including target audience segmentation, product value propositions, product naming and messaging architecture, hierarchy of rational and emotional benefits and their reasons-to-believe benefits, and the go-to-market launch strategy to maximize demand instore/online across both traditional and digital eCommerce marketing channels.
- Partner with Consumer Insights and Product Management teams to analyze both quantitative and qualitative research to derive consumer needs, motivations, pain points, functional and emotional purchase drivers, the broader category and competitive landscape, and key buyer behaviors and their decision-making journeys.
- Partner with Global Product Management, Operations, Global Brand Creative Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Regional Product, Channel Marketing, Sales teams to lead the global product marketing launch strategy, planning, and execution.
- Ensure alignment on product naming, features and technology naming, positioning and messaging architecture across all channels for product launches and sustain marketing initiatives.
- Data-driven focus prioritizing the most impactful outcomes and specific KPIs. Ties marketing OKRs with business unit goals and outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years managing end-to-end product marketing at a consumer technology, consumer electronics, or innovative, fast-paced consumer goods brand.
- Experience leveraging a portfolio of features and innovation to develop and market a brand portfolio ecosystem strategy.
- Ability to develop and implement processes to lead product marketing to succeed in rapidly evolving marketing and product orgs.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable reviewing and analyzing business performance metrics, KPIs, ability to pivot when the data tells you
- Out-of-the-box thinker ready to derive creative solutions and take risks to bring a powerful consumer brand and its portfolio to the next level
- Results-driven, with a passion for using data to build to solve business problems, product innovation and advance our why Belkin brand and value proposition story.
- A strategic leader who has created and articulated strategies and tactical plans for their business that have resulted in significant business improvements.
- Proven capability in turning consumer insights into marketing plans.
- An energetic individual who has demonstrated an ability to energize others as well around difficult goals and objectives.
- Experience influencing and partnering with cross-functional channel sales and product management teams.
- High attention to detail with strong strategic sensibilities and executional prowess
- Ample product marketing knowledge to define the foundation and processes of the marketing discipline
- Operational acumen to streamline global to regional marketing launch operations and optimizations.
- Team leadership: Natural born leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic teaming abilities Director of Product Marketing owns leading and developing a team of people to be successful. Establishing clear goals, timelines, providing timely feedback and creating a strong sense of team and purpose.
- Experience building, leading and developing a team of seasoned marketers
- Comfort with presenting your ideas to senior leadership and the company at large
- Prior background in brand management with new product experience is a plus.
- Four-year college degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or similar program. MBA highly preferred.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.

The starting base salary for this position is:
$145,000
Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, compensation also includes a performance-based bonus, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
