The Global Director, One Demand Communications, is responsible for developing and executing cutting-edge communications aimed at engaging and inspiring our internal marketing and sales teams. This role is also responsible for helping to build the company's reputation externally, bringing together the power of our business journey, the Mars brand and our consumer brands. The job holder will be a highly experienced communications professional who is adept at planning and implementing successful campaigns that cut through and generate positive impact.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a dynamic self-starter that can tell a great story. This person will be a member of the One Demand leadership team and work closely with cross-functional colleagues and leaders from marketing, sales and corporate affairs. This Associate will be part of a large, diverse group of professionals focused on innovative communications with significant opportunities for career growth.

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism or related field strongly preferred).
  • 10+ years' experience across internal and external communications and marketing communications roles.
  • Regional or global experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience within marketing or agency teams is a bonus.
  • Someone that can work with high autonomy.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Strategic Business Communications - Develop an internal communications strategy that creates engagement for Associates in our marketing and sales (One Demand) organization partnering with peers in the Corporate Communications team to ensure consistency and efficiency. Partner with global functional leads and their leadership teams on communicating critical business objectives. Bring together cross-functional team members to share business results and engaging Associates in key business strategies and milestones. Utilize the right mix of channels/tools and metrics to deliver effective communications for our One Demand organization. Deploy change communications as needed.
  • Building Corporate Reputation - Build and execute a strategy that will enhance Mars Wrigley's reputation, showing how we are a purpose-led, innovative business. Drive external visibility and thought leadership with our One Demand senior leaders, including relevant speaking engagements, partnerships, and media opportunities around our marketing and sales functional priorities. Equip our teams in the markets to leverage content and activate locally. Create a proactive media strategy and process to build relationships with key media influencers across a range of channels.
  • Marketing Communications - In partnership with the global brand PR lead, plan and implement compelling marketing communications strategies and campaigns to engage and inspire consumers about our brands and how they demonstrate our purpose in action. Manage agency partners, media relations and measurement/monitoring for Brand PR.
