Position Summary:

As a Global Services HR Director, you will serve as a strategic business partner to the Duke CE CEO and Executive team. The role will take accountability for building and driving a culture that will support a "best place to work for environment" and maximizes employee engagement.

You will facilitate functional organizational change: assessing, developing and enable the necessary organizational programs to align with business strategy and objectives. The HR Director role will design people processes that supports a future fit workforce including Talent and Succession Management, Learning and Development and Performance Management.

You will be able to demonstrate a significant understanding of organizational design and development, utilizing analytics, project management and communication skills to translate business strategy into various HR talent solutions to increase overall organizational capabilities, organizational culture, talent and operational efficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The design and development of the Duke CE culture programme including setting norms and behaviours living the Duke CE way
  • Develop and maintain effective business partnerships and serve as a consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all HR areas.
  • Guide and directs organizational design, development and change management solutions implementation.
  • Operating as a key business adviser and subject matter expert across Duke CE through business knowledge, relationship management and proactive interventions via the various entities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and market trends and leverage this insight to recommend and influence new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
  • Acts as a catalyst for change; guides and directs organizational design, development and change management solutions.
  • Coaches senior leaders on complex leadership and HR issues including development and talent performance and issues which could have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business.
  • Develops and uses analytics and trend analysis to help shape and influence HR strategies to support business objectives.
  • Collaborates to develop robust talent management plans to attract retain, develop and engage talent in critical roles.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention plans for the businesses, including the assessment, analysis and facilitation of plans to address turnover and workforce issues.
  • Design the Duke CE Employee Value Proposition with supporting processes to deliver the value proposition
  • Design and manage a Talent, Succession and Leadership framework for key talent
  • Partner with Regional Managing Directors and internal resources to execute local requirements
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure the effective execution of payroll and benefits administration

Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Influence a broad range of stakeholders to drive change
  • Distill people information into key issues, drawing out insights and setting a course of action
  • Manage ambiguity and setting an agenda, being self-motivated to drive day to day activities
  • Full understanding of the strategic and operational drivers of the HR function to drive value for Duke CE
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in managing change or transformation through the HR function and HR processes
  • Awareness of HR and related market trends and a passion and appetite to explore further and bring new thinking into everyday HR processes

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or other related field is required; advanced degree and PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Senior and progressive experience working in a global and matrixed environment, providing guidance and influence to Senior level/Executive leadership team members.
  • Strong knowledge of performance management, talent development, compensation management
  • Organizational design expertise and ability to implement key organizational effectiveness's requirements
  • Change agent with the ability to drive and lead change initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving approaches and the ability to influence company leaders (strong excel skills)
