Description
The Global Human Resources Intern will work with our Corporate Human Resources and Benefits team to support department initiatives. This role will also lead projects in employee training, summer intern professional development workshops and employment branding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruiting activities for open hourly and salary job openings
- Join the global compensation project team to implement a companywide compensation process
- Research and implement new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Lead and support engagement activities at the corporate campus
- Work with business partners to build out Franklin Electric employment branding including social media presence and job advertisement
- Assist in facilitating the summer internship development program to generate development/orientation plans, networking, and professional growth opportunities to our student employees
- Support University Relations activities
- Support Benefits team in consolidation of company files
- Participate and lead other Human Resources projects as assigned
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong relationship building skills in connecting with candidates and internal business partners
- Effective communication and consistent follow-up both in person and electronically with candidates, vendors, recruiting sources, and internal business partners
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business and personal information.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail
- Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine and nonroutine nature.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation
- Accurately and efficiently completes moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
- Junior or Senior working towards a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field (required).
- Previous experience in a professional work environment is a plus
Computer Skills
- Intermediate:Microsoft Office suite
