Job Description

As the leader in Industrial Technology and Digital Transformation, Rockwell Automation has growth goals. To support those goals, the Marketing function is transforming rapidly, and we are looking for a leader to focus on Life Sciences Strategy and Marketing. You will be joining a group of highly motivated, smart and friendly marketing professionals and leaders.

You will play a critical role defining the future for Life Sciences at Rockwell. To do this well, you will:

Create and execute strategies, solution roadmaps and plans that deliver winning solutions and accelerated sales and profit growth globally.

Drive for results, grasping the big picture and charting a course, including delivering on immediate needs that incrementally build toward the big picture.

Work collaboratively to drive alignment and act in a fast-paced, highly matrixed and global environment.

Think outside of the box developing strong insights at the intersection of customer needs, industry trends, and technical capabilities.

Operate with integrity and trust sharing the truth in a helpful manner while being able to admit mistakes.

This role will report to the Director of Global Industry Strategy & Marketing and is a remote-friendly position.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and communicate a multi-year Life Science technical, marketing, and sales strategy to senior leadership and track annual progress across sales, marketing and business units.
  • Ensure close alignment and buy in with key stakeholders including global sales, regional marketing and business unit leaders via working sessions and ongoing updates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Global Industry Sales leaders and Regional Marketers, to gain market and customer insights, develop strategies to exploit opportunities and address competitive threats. Apply this knowledge to prioritize, and close gaps in our offering while optimizing execution plans and strategies.
  • Be regarded as the expert in the industry, participating in industry associations to maintain the latest knowledge on Life Sciences technologies and promoting Rockwell as an industry leader.
  • Develop insights through competitive landscapes, identifying risk factors, and new technologies, initiate both qualitative (observational research, customer interviews, sales feedback, etc.) and quantitative (analytics, market research, surveys, etc) research to deeply understand, customer needs and communicate impact to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute global marketing campaigns addressing customer needs and integrating new offerings. Make ongoing adjustments to optimize marketing performance in every region.
  • Develop business cases and conduct return-on-investment financial analysis to justify and prioritize strategic options.
  • Create and validate value propositions for Rockwell's Life Science overall business and targeted subsegments presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop robust KPIs to track and report success of the industry marketing plan.
  • Effectively balance workloads across both strategic and marketing objectives.
  • Make recommendations and influence the organization to optimize solutions to develop competitive global and regional offerings, considering regional customer, pricing, supply chain, and regulatory dynamics.
  • Build a culture of strong engagement, and accountability with direct and indirect teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of strategy and marketing experience and a background in leadership and global accountability in a matrix organization.
  • Strong Understanding of new therapies including personalized medicine.
  • 5+ years of experience in Life Sciences.
  • Experience leading cross-regional and -functional teams to develop and execute winning strategies & solutions. Proven results managing across global matrix organizations & among peers.
  • Early career experience in a top-tier management consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective, cohesive, and collaborative teams.
  • Global mindset and able to interact with a global organization.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $143,760.00 - $179,700.00 with an annual target bonus of 10% of base salary. Our benefits for the US can be found here.
