Manager, Global Marketing

This position will be responsible for global marketing strategy and planning for Pyxis medication solutions for acute hospital patient care areas and operating rooms, and strategic partnerships. You will partner closely with region marketing teams and product development teams to ensure strong execution of product launches, and strategic product placement and promotion, to achieve planned growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Launch planning and execution for internally developed and partner products, including development of launch readiness assets as needed
  • Customer segmentation analysis, value offer development, identify needs/opportunities to generate and communicate new evidence to drive adoption in target segments
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical go-to-market plans, including product level positioning and messaging to be used by sales and marketing within the regions
  • Provide knowledge and expertise across the full marketing mix, including advertising, direct marketing, digital, tradeshows, public relations, scientific communications, and other communications channels
  • Develop key opinion leader relationships and advocacy through evidence-based communication and education
  • Lifecycle management and EOL planning for assigned products
  • Strategic partner management, including enablement, effectiveness, and resolution of channel conflicts
  • Executing key stage-gate (GPDS) governance activities, with adherence to BD Way of Marketing best practices
  • Able to understand and communicate complex workflows, developing and demonstrating strong product and market knowledge, specifically related to medication management in hospitals
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills related to establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer-driven
  • Partner with region team to ensure order to cash needs are understood, requirements are defined, and success metrics are regularly monitored

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in marketing and/or product/solution management with demonstrated excellence in commercial strategy and launch planning required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Marketing/Business or Technical Field; MBA preferred
  • Healthcare automation experience and hospital pharmacy experience desired
  • Experience marketing software applications and integrated workflow experience desired
  • Experience getting things done in highly matrixed environments, able to work with cross-functional teams and to lead teams beyond your direct span of control
  • Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience across international geographies with success in incorporating diverse stakeholder feedback
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.

Location: Hybrid role at BD office in San Diego, CA

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel required
  • Entry to hospitals and other medical facilities is required.
  • Many facilities have instituted vendor credentialing policies which require vendors to meet defined training, background check and proof of immunization requirements as a condition of entry.
  • Associates entering these facilities are required to abide by these credentialing requirements.
