Dedalus is recruiting a Global Monitoring Engineer (m/f/d)

You'll administrate the global monitoring environment based on CheckMK. Contribute in the development and implementation of VMware vRealize Operations (vROps). Be part of the global competence teams. Bring in your cloud experiences.

Job duties

• Manage and maintain our infrastructure monitoring environment based on CheckMK.
• Implement further locations and systems into the monitoring system.
• Perform troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Monitor capacity usage and trending.
• Integrate automation tools and processes to enhance system administration efficiency.
• Update and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Collaboration to further expand the cloud readiness within Dedalus.

Job qualitifcations

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or other education (e.g., IT specialist / systems integration) with experience in monitoring IT infrastructure with CheckMK, knowledge in the VMware environment and especially in vROps, knowledge about cloud environments.

• Knowhow in operating modern IT environments
• Willingness to tackle complex and challenging projects
• Ability to work in a team
• Goal- and result-oriented action ("doer mentality")
• Good English language skills (written and verbal)
• Strong proficiency in IT infrastructure monitoring especially with CheckMK
• Knowledge of VMware solutions
• Knowledge of VMware vROps
• Knowledge of system administration: Windows & Linux (RHEL; Ubuntu)
• Knowhow in cloud-technologies (AWS, AZURE, GCP)
• Basic knowledge: script languages
• Bonus: VMware ARIA, Automation (Saltstack)

Permanent position to be filled as soon as possible, preferably in Artigues-près-Bordeaux, France.
