Job Description
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, track and manage key monitoring tool and capability rollout, partnering with Prod Mgmt, Perf Test, App Dev and MiddleWare teams. Ensure Monitoring and Observability Solutions align to end-user / business needs. Project manage new rollouts or pilots, that require multiple stakeholders across PBWM. Remove technical and organizational roadblocks. Own the semi-annual attestation process, ensuring compliance and partnering with stakeholders to ensure identified gaps have action plans for remediation. Risk & Control: Own and manage the processes for PBWM Observability tools, ensuring processes and controls are up to date with new capabilities being rolled out.
Drive adoption sessions for the PBWM Observability tools to maximize the end-user benefits realized, including brown bags, office hours and vendor led trainings. Provide governance for PBWMs investment for Splunk, including tracking capacity management, log ingestion governance and end-user search governance. Provide Splunk dashboard and alert creation services for end-users who require assistance. Ensure the goals of functional area are delivered to appropriate Operations & Technology (O&T) organizations. Oversee O&T spending to ensure the firm's finances are budgeted and spent according to the Chief Technology officer's (CTO) technology strategies. Manage overall execution of IT strategy and roadmap for the technology area; Lead operational readiness and conformance to global operational standards for ongoing operation and support.
Utilize an in-depth understanding of how engineering integrates within technology and commercial awareness. Responsible for training and coaching team members, performance management activities. Negotiate with senior leaders across functions and with external parties, as required.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum
- 10+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with commensurate experience in people management.
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
- Project Management experience
- Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
- Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Master's degree preferred
