What We Are Looking For:

Bandwidth’s Global Payroll Analyst works on a global Payroll team that’s located within our larger People Services organization. We’re a mission-driven team who’s focused on our people and how we can best work for and love the success of others. The Payroll Specialist supports a variety of aspects of US & International payroll administration, maintains Workday system integrity in partnership with our Workday administrators, and delivers excellent service to Bandmates, managers and the People Services team. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate not only about numbers and data precision, but someone who loves collaborating, creativity, and constantly improving processes and systems.

What You'll Do:

U.S. Payroll Support

  1. Support the semi-monthly payroll for approximately 900 US employees using Workday (HRIS), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  3. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  4. Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for management and auditing purposes.
  5. Collaborate with PS team stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes that impact payroll.
  6. Provide training and support to teams and employees regarding payroll systems and procedures.
  7. Interpret pay policies (e.g. vacation, disability, workers compensation, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensuring amounts are calculated and applied correctly
  8. Handle employment verification requests from financial lenders and employment agencies
  9. Assist with quarterly and annual external audit requests and SOX compliance initiatives
  10. Assist with leave of absence administration with employees and inside Workday

 International Payroll & Benefits Support

  1.  Collaborate with the international PS team during the preparation, review, and delivery of the international monthly payroll run for approximately 250 employees spread across 8 countries.
  2. Collaborate with the Finance team for monthly reporting and support the international PS team during payroll audits.
  3. Assist with tax declarations and reporting to the different local authorities.
  4. Stay up to date with local regulations and ensure payroll & benefits processes remain compliant.
  5. Administer the international employee benefits packages, including enrolling new hires into the medical insurance or the pension plan, supporting the PS team with ad-hoc campaigns (e.g. flu shots, medical checks), and help employees with their queries.
  6. Manage other employee benefits such as vouchers (meal vouchers, gift vouchers, eco vouchers), transportation schemes, and ad-hoc employee gifts (ie baby boxes, employee rewards, etc).
  7. Maintain employee records up-to-date and support the PS team with the preparation of employment verification files.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, Business or related field
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a Payroll function
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and state/country taxation rules
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility with the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to workload management.

Bonus Points:

  • CPP/PHR is a plus
  • Experience working on a Global team, interacting with different countries, cultures, and across time-zones is a plus
  • Knowledge of journal entries to assist finance is a plus
  • Workday and/or ADP experience are a plus.

The Whole Person Promise:

At Bandwidth, we’re pretty proud of our corporate culture, which is rooted in our “Whole Person Promise.” We promise all employees that they can have meaningful work AND a full life, and we provide a work environment geared toward enriching your body, mind, and spirit. How do we do that? Well…

  • 100% company-paid Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage for you and your family with low deductibles and low out-of-pocket expenses.
  • All new hires receive four weeks of PTO.
  • PTO Embargo. When you take time off (of any kind!) you’re embargoed from working. Bandmates and managers are not allowed to interrupt your PTO – not even with email.
  • Additional PTO can be earned throughout the year through volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges.
  • “Mahalo moments” program grants additional time off for life’s most important moments like graduations, buying a first home, getting married, wedding anniversaries (every five years), and the birth of a grandchild.
  • 90-Minute Workout Lunches and unlimited meetings with our very own nutritionist.

Are you excited about the position and its responsibilities, but not sure if you’re 100% qualified? Do you feel you can work to help us crush the mission? If you answered ‘yes’ to both of these questions, we encourage you to apply! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the BAND.
