We’re looking for a Payroll Global Manager as part of our Finance Team, who will be accountable for leading our day-to-day transactions and expenses of payroll department. Infobip is working on a payroll transformation exercise and require an expert who can lead a complex and global project besides managing daily operations. 


Payroll Global Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance Managers and People Operations in making strategic company decisions. You will share the responsibility for driving the continuous success of Infobip. Tasks that you will work on will be operational and of high importance for Infobip.

 

Key responsibilities you will lead:

  • Manage global payroll staff to perform day-to-day execution activities.
  • Design, Develop and Execute payroll process and system strategy.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the payroll staff including training, recruiting, hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions and succession planning.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with local statutory and business requirements.
  • Ensure the stability and quality of the payroll process, coordinating corrections and designing process improvements when required.
  • Stay current with pay regulations, practices, and compliance requirements and build internal knowledge base for payrolls.
  • Ensure understanding of the complex payroll environment based on local statutory rules, works council/union requirements and local internal policies.
  • Collaborate with People Operations and Regional Finance Leaders to simplify and standardize existing payroll process to reduce opportunities for defects.
  • Manage payroll delivery in line with HQ and local leadership requirements.
  • Lead quality review process (root cause analysis; corrective action, etc.) solutions.
  • Support periodic labor and payroll audits (internal and external) by providing pertinent data in a timely manner as well as ensuring all payroll data is filed and maintained accurately.
  • Benchmark current practices against industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement to enhance internal operations.
  • Manage and develop employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

More about you:

  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in payroll and finance administration.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
  • You have a strong understanding of confidentiality.
  • You are responsible for coordinating the full payroll process across multiple countries, which includes working with local payroll providers.
  • You supervise activities such as salary calculations, contributions, suspensions, deductions, and bonuses.
  • You ensure that all required data for payroll calculations and processing is collected within legal deadlines.
  • You manage the calculation of taxes and deductions, and gather employee work hours to ensure correct pay, including overtime and bonuses.
  • You oversee the issuing of statements, invoices, and record-keeping, in line with legislation and internal processes related to payroll, bonuses, and other payments.
  • You collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Finance Shared Services to ensure the smooth operation of payroll processes and projects.
  • You apply and coordinate payroll knowledge and financial practices within the payroll team.
  • You help the company set strategic goals, establish clear objectives for your team, monitor progress, and provide regular reports.
  • You delegate tasks and deadlines, manage the salary payment process, and work with other departments to streamline and implement new processes.
