As a Global Payroll Manager at Cayuse, you will work with the HR/People Operations and Finance teams to provide all payroll functions for a 215 person company.  Our workforce is a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.   Cayuse strives to provide the ultimate employee experience professionally and financially!


Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly US payroll / monthly Canada payroll / monthly AU payroll
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonus,  reimbursements, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Manage 401(K) and HSA contributions and payments
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, leave of absence, terminations, and changes to pay rates
  • Prepares Canadian Records of Employment according to statutory requirements
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Resolve payroll issues and errors and communicate directly with employees on these topics
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
  • Handle complex legislation and compliance issues and create standard processes and resources to respond consistently to queries
  • Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the company, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to country/local laws and regulations, and policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience as an Payroll  + degree in related field
  • 2+ years experience with Ceridan/dayforce
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace or related software
