The Global Payroll Advisor will report directly into our Global Payroll Sr. Director and will focus on projects and implementations that are a critical to the transformation of TransUnion's Global payroll operations. The advisor will also assist with ongoing payroll and continuous process improvements.
You will play an active and visible role in the development of an efficient and scalable Global payroll shard services center. Your contributions will ensure consistent communications with 3rd party payroll vendors, resulting in accurate and timely global payroll processing, auditing, and compliance. To be successful in this role, you must be hands-on, deadline driven, detailed oriented, with excellent excel skills.
You must be a strong collaborator who can develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external partners, including but not limited to: HR, HR OPS, Accounting, Internal and external Audit, 3rd party payroll vendors. You must demonstrate the ability to lead and implement change in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a shared service/global payroll environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and HR systems; Workday and ADP preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (X-Lookups, Pivot tables, linking of multiple equations in a cell, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, and/or business-related fields.

  • Experience in playing a significant role in payroll system implementation and/or transformation projects.

  • System implementation experience.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements.

Impact You'll Make:
  • Assist the global payroll Sr. Director in evaluating the payroll process and implement improvements that lead to greater efficiencies, accuracy, and lessen risk.
  • Develop KPI to keep key stakeholders informed on critical issues and measures department performance, compliance, and impact to organization.
  • Partner with the HR Operations team to develop process to ensure completeness and accuracy of employee data transferring between systems which interact with payroll.
  • Partner with other internal stakeholders like Finance, Tax, and Legal, to adhere to laws and regulations impacting payroll and reporting across TransUnion global landscape.
  • Partner with external 3rd party payroll providers to ensure best practices and global consistency and automation of payroll processing.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to guide employees' activities and internal controls.
  • Assist the development of procedures to resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions in a timely manner.
  • In performing the above, exercise the highest degree of confidentiality relative to all payroll information and employee privacy initiatives.
