Mechanic Advisor is a Boston(USA) based company with a development office in Lviv(Ukraine). We are trying to change the way repair shops communicate with customers through an automated marketing platform, web directory, and telematics device.

Now we are looking for the Global People Operations Manager who will help us continue shaping the team and create the future of work by bringing best practices in HR Administration, Employment and Payroll, Global mobility, Internal Policies, while adding structure and clarity each step of the way across the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

  • You have higher education in Human Resources, Administration, Business, or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • You have a great team-player spirit but can be independent and take ownership of your tasks.
  • You notice details very well, you are analytical and always look to data to help drive decisions.
  • You are a problem-solver.
  • You are a good communicator and are experienced in delivering communication both verbally and written.
  • You are tech savvy - you know your tools and how to use them to get things done.
  • You have worked with HRIS systems before.
  • English is our business language and we expect you to have a strong business proficiency in it.

Will be a plus:

  • startup/product company experience.
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian labor law.
  • Knowledge of other European labor law specifics.

Your tasks will include:

Employment administration

  • Implement the international employment policies that will help us accelerate global hiring.
  • Make sure to prepare and keep records of vital employment documents (contracts, agreements, NDAs, and others).
  • Support all employment events and changes (payroll changes, annual leaves, sick leaves, salary changes) with the proper approval and reporting system.
  • Keeping a track of changes in payroll compliance and employment laws in different regions and implementing the necessary changes in our internal policies and HRIS system

    HRIS System
    • Explore, vet and onboard an HRIS system that meets the needs of our growing business.
    • Store and organize the employee data records in our HRIS system and implement new policies in it when needed.
    • Make sure all the records we keep of our employees and the practice of storage is GDPR compliant.
    • Help us make data-driven decisions about our team and the business by creating, tracking and analyzing key employee reports.
    • Coordinate company benefit programs, making sure the benefits are accessible and clear to our team members and easy to apply for via the HRIS System.

    People Support

    • Inform and support Steer team members with regard to the legal setup, compensation policies, benefits programs and help enroll new employees. Proactively inform people of the changes in our policies.
    • Support the newcomers by providing them clarity on the employment process and a streamlined onboarding process.
    • Work with the Leadership Team to define and execute the strategic vision for our People Operations Function.
    • Conduct workplace investigations and report out on findings as needed.

    Cross-functional work and Projects

    • Work with the Leadership Team to define and execute the strategic vision for our People Operations Function.
    • Partner with the Mechanic Advisor business leaders to design, manage, improve, and support key People-related initiatives and programs including compliance, benefits, employee relations, change management, training, organizational design, etc.
    • Constantly improving our processes, you may be participating in some ad-hoc awesome projects to make Steer the best place of work.
