Tenneco's Privacy Office oversees all privacy laws and regulations across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), North America (NA), and South America (SA) regions where Tenneco has an operational presence. The Manager, Privacy Operations, should be an experienced hands-on privacy professional that can lead Tenneco's global privacy operations program. The person will report to Tenneco's global Chief Privacy Officer. This Privacy Operations Manager role is hands on, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directly executing the day-to-day operational activities. The Manager, Privacy Operations, will assist the Tenneco business units and functional groups to address day-to-day privacy operational activities across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage global privacy operational activities including but not limited to privacy controls implementation, privacy incident response process, data subject rights, and data protection impact assessments. • Lead global efforts to define, maintain, develop, and implement personal data governance and processes that enable consistent and effective compliance with all global privacy laws applicable to Tenneco, and support local compliance initiatives. • Manage third-party privacy reviews, contract negotiations and risk mitigations. • Work with different functional leaders within the business to understand their privacy and data protection needs, helping to design solutions and plans that consistently address business needs.• Manage global privacy metrics program and improve operational capabilities. • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills: • Experience working in multinational organizations. • Strong presentation skills with experience drafting and reviewing legal agreements.• Strong knowledge and experience with privacy regulations and frameworks such as General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Fair Information Practice Principles (FIPPs), China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), China's Data Security Law (DSL), China's Cybersecurity Law (CSL), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), and APEC Privacy Framework.• Demonstrable hand-on experience with day-to-day privacy operational activities such as data subject request process, third-party vendor risk management, privacy incident response management, and data protection impact assessments. • Strong collaboration skills, cross-functional teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • Experience working across a geographically and culturally diverse organization.• Ability to work in a hands-on environment and achieve demonstrable results.• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and other privacy management tools.

Qualifications: • J.D. or other advanced degrees preferred. • One or more privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, FIP or similar required. • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in privacy law, privacy program management, regulatory compliance, Governance, Risk and Compliance, consumer rights, digital rights, data governance, ethics and compliance, data protection, or closely related field required.
