Eaton's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions group is looking for a Global Product Line Manager - Power Distribution & Control to join our team. This position will be based out of Syracuse, NY or Highland, IL.

The Global Product Line Manager - PD&C (power distribution and control, plugs and receptacles, cable glands, enclosures, and metering) is responsible for the growth and profitability of our global Power Distribution and Control product line across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Middle East and will partner with senior leadership across our matrixed environment to achieve successful business outcomes. You will lead the execution of product life cycle management, commercialization, penetration strategies, and pricing for products in harsh, hazardous, and industrial applications. You will be responsible for product life cycle management through the multi-generational product planning process to include product innovation, cost out activities including value engineering and low-cost country manufacturing, complexity management.

You will lead product commercialization with a standard of quality and excellence for business, sales & marketing leaders, developing marketing collateral and tools, competitive selling strategies and detailed product demos and training. In conjunction with the Director of Pricing, you will formulate and execute regional pricing strategies to increase long-term growth and profitability. You will formulate pricing strategies to effectively compete at market level prices and maximize price through the creation of value propositions and specification initiatives.

You will define market product position and segmentation in sales regions and vertical markets and develop growth strategies, both internally and externally, for local markets and verticals to increase industry presence, leading a multi-generational product plan, commercialization efforts and channel development. Define market product position and segmentation in sales regions and customer vertical markets globally. You will travel internationally to support your business and establish delivery strategies that ensure supply chain and inventory optimization.

You will be a polished communicator and thoughtful servant leader.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Electrical product experience
  • Experience leading product innovation/rationalization, pricing, cost out activities, and complexity management
  • Experience leading customer intelligence and forecasting activities to successful outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging pricing
  • Proven examples of product development and portfolio management experience
  • Experience working within a global environment to include one or more of the following: Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Middle East
  • Experience leading an end-to-end product P&L or budget
  • Experience successfully leading the execution of the product life cycle, commercialization, penetration strategies, and pricing for industrial applications focused products.
  • Experience in communications across broad groups including customers and executive management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Knowledge of harsh and hazardous electrical products market
  • Experience in IoT and connected technologies
  • Manager of people experience
