Eaton's Electrical Division is currently seeking a Global Product Manager to join our team. This position can be based in Woodridge, Illinois or Raleigh, North Carolina. A Hybrid scheudle will be offered.

Relocation is offered!

Position Overview:

The Global Product Manager Will Plan, manage, and oversee the formulation of all short-term tactical plans, long-term strategic objectives, and business plans for the PDU product line. Maintain key organizational relationships with multiple global manufacturing and engineering facilities. Develop and manage multiple metrics, including sales volume targets, new and existing market penetration, price realization, profitability, and overall product quality. Direct and oversee new product development and introduction into new and existing markets. Determine the forecasts for each product line and participate in the forecasting process from a PM perspective.

In this function you will:
  • Provide strategic plan and measure execution
    • Increase revenues / market share and margins
    • Develop new business opportunities
    • Perform market research to determine new vertical markets as well as investigating and tracking economic conditions affecting IT and electrical industries
    • Research market needs and trends to develop and own product roadmaps
    • Identify strategic opportunities and develop strategies with sales team


  • Develop a rolling tactical plan for new products and measure execution (ie projected Vitality)
    • Determine annual profit plan and drive sales and marketing initiatives to meet forecasts by developing annual sales plans per region
    • Create and maintain a communication and tracking mechanism with sales team to achieve goals
    • Identify and participate in tradeshows and conferences as well as conduct sales calls
    • Work with Marketing team to develop sales tools and marketing collateral
    • Provide support to Global Engineering and Manufacturing teams
    • Participate in mid- and long-term forecasts in SIOP process
    • Manage the new product development process to ensure complete launch of product, which includes participating in Global Product Line (GPL) discussions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, or Engineering
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • International experience
  • Strong product and application knowledge in electrical industry
  • Demonstrated track record driving product line growth
  • Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of marketing techniques including experience in sales
