Global Product Manager

Position Summary
As a Global Product Manager for Banner's Safety Products, you'll guide activities related to technology research, new product development, production, and marketing Banner's safety system product portfolio. You'll be involved with development of new products and act as the voice of the customer to the engineering development and technology teams. This role requires a strong sense of ownership to support our existing products, and the ability, creativity, and curiosity to research, identify, and develop new products our customers will want.
This is full-time permanent position based at our corporate headquarters located at Highways 55 and 169 in Plymouth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting market research to generate product concepts and business cases for safety products that deliver value to customers in the markets we serve.
- Monitoring and evaluating competitive safety products to influence new product development and support current sales efforts.
- Defining product requirements, identifying competitive advantages, and communicating the value propositions for internal and external customers.
- Providing global leadership to the design, manufacturing, and marketing teams for new and existing safety products.
- Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management to manage the business effectively.
- Synthesize information from engineers, operations, sales, and customers to guide the business and product roadmap.
- Reviewing technical literature, website, and marketing materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Developing and presenting training and launch materials to internal and external customers.
- An estimated 10-15% travel will be a part of this position; most travel will be domestic.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 4 or more years' experience in Product Management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the flexibility to interact routinely with engineering, operations, sales, and customers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate on major projects representing the voice of the customer to the team members
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to travel 10-15%, primarily domestic
Preferred
- Knowledge of industrial safety products and technologies.
- Knowledge of factory automation applications.
- Experience specifying or designing equipment using industrial machine safeguarding solutions.
- Understanding of industrial protocols such as IO Link, Modbus, Ethernet, Profinet, etc.
- Experience using Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Salesforce
- Experience analyzing data related to product sales
