Position Summary

As a Product Manager, you will manage all aspects of the connectivity product portfolio with the goal of exceeding sales and gross margin targets. You will run the portfolio as a "mini" GM - responsible for overall product strategy and business leadership ensuring your product portfolio meets or exceeds all key performance indicators. You will work across functions to manage all aspects of the business.

This position reports to the Vice President Product Management - Lighting and Connectivity

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

  • Exempt, based on the Professional Exemption

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop product portfolio strategy, roadmaps, and business plans.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators:
    • Revenue
    • Gross margin
    • Inventory turns
    • On time delivery
    • Demand plan forecast accuracy
    • Sales of new products 1- and 3-years post-launch
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape. Translate this information into product line plans.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, sourcing, and production teams to specify new products and modify existing products to meet customer requirements.
  • Implement processes and drive process improvements which positively impact revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing on product launches and web experience
  • Develop and present training and product launch material.
  • Review technical literature, website and marketing content for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Be the Banner expert on connectivity and provide support to other business units to ensure a cohesive corporate strategy; demonstrate thought leadership to stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required

  • 3+ years of product management or related experience in a B2B environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
  • P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated cross functional leadership
  • Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and factory automation applications
  • Experience selling product through a distribution channel
  • Familiarity with molding and mechanical design
