FIT Product Manager

The Financial Institutions (FIT) segment is a global, multi-franchise business line of BBH representing 23% of BBH's Investor Services revenue with over $1.3 trillion in assets globally. FIT clients are represented globally through Japanese Institutional and Trust Banks, European Universal and Private Banks, Greater China Banks, Insurance companies, Latin American pensions, FCM's and US Banks.

The FIT business is currently evolving its offering "beyond custody" into a bi-directional partnership model providing clients with open architecture technology and data capabilities to enable their business growth and achieve higher margin returns. Many of the capabilities in the FIT portfolio of solutions are currently in place at BBH.

Reporting to the Global Head of FIT Product, the FIT Product Manager will be responsible for growing a scalable, global portfolio of solutions while ensuring relevancy to FIT Europe and Asia regional needs.

The FIT Product Manager will need to work with Product Owners across Investor Services, Systems Service Delivery, Relationship Management & Sales to identify and prioritize product needs, secure investments and coordinate design and implementation of FIT solutions.

Product Strategy & Management

  • Identify business challenges, trends, themes and product opportunities for collaboration across European and Asian FIT clients & prospects to inform our product strategy; Analyze and document client feedback trends
  • Identify product impact and potential opportunities resulting from European Regulatory changes (i.e. CSDR, SRD II, T+1) and work with FIT clients to address impact/opportunity & ensure client readiness
  • Develop competitive product knowledge across industry peers, Fintechs, and vendors to identify FIT product strengths, gaps, and investment needs; Recommend potential connector strategy alliances
  • Align FIT dedicated three-year pipeline with product investment needs, roadmaps & investment resources; Advocate and prioritize FIT client's and product specific developments horizontally across Custody, Digital, Data, and Business Transformations product plans
  • Provide regular and ongoing FIT Product Reviews to European RE teams to ensure understanding of our FIT Product Campaigns & applicability of FIT solutions
  • Identify ways to improve FIT P&L; Analyze sales margins and contributors to costs; Identify new client engagement opportunities to improve FIT margins

Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Create "Go to Market" strategy for European / Asian clients based on our FIT "Beyond Custody" product campaign
  • Work with Marketing & Strategy to create compelling and differentiated branding, content, and messaging targeted for European Banks; Create targeted prospective client communication
  • Engage in FIT client feedback loop, leveraging "Voice of Client" program to validate BBH's FIT Product offering and determine its marketability and target audience
  • Participate in European industry engagements representing BBH to promote FIT products and to
  • gain FIT market intelligence

Client / Prospect Consultancy and Solution Design

  • Participate in all client and prospect engagements to establish and communicate BBH's "Beyond Custody" campaigns and value proposition (Pitches, Workshops, RFPs, Deal Teams, Meetings etc.); Lead client presentations to demonstrate BBH's product capabilities for European client and prospects
  • Establish agenda, content, and messaging for client / prospect engagements including prepping with Custody, Digital, Data, Infomediary and Business Transformation participants to align messaging and materials
  • Define and design conceptual solutions to solve for Client's business challenges that leverage BBH's technology suite; Design client & prospect solutions based on client needs while ensuring solutions are scalable, reusable, and relevant to broader FIT client segment
  • Identify potential key constituents at Client to best communicate our value proposition & provide insights on how BBH can address FIT specific business trends and challenges
  • Establish solution scope, commercial framework & appropriate pricing principals, ensure legal, risk and compliance agreement; Ensure viability of operational support and ongoing resource needs

Product Implementation and Product Delivery

Oversee change management activities to ensure solution development and integration efforts meet the desired outcomes efficiently and are scalable for future client initiatives

Engage with client post implementation to ensure quality product delivery; Address product feedback and concerns; Assist with the strategic design of client directed developments and

improvements to ensure ongoing client satisfaction

Manage client specific development budget and work with Change Management & Systems to ensure enhancements are prioritized and are delivered on time and in budget

Represent and advocate for FIT Product investments at firm's Investment Review Group committee meetings; Work across Investor Service's complex and with relevant Product

Executives to productize our internal investment to benefit FIT client's

Requirements for the Role:

  • Solid financial service industry experience
  • Experience in data management/technology preferred -
  • Able to translate concepts to practical applications or solutions
  • Experience in solution and/or technical design preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of custody products and services
  • Able to engage at senior levels internally and externally
  • Strong consulting, influencing and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
